CODEchella 2017

On Saturday, April 8th, join us as at LA Trade Tech College, as 55 YouthBuild Charter of California students compete in teams to design websites for local South LA businesses. Students will have spent the previous week learning how to code in HTML, CSS, and Java. At CODEchella, their coding skills are put to the test as they have only 10 hours to code a website from start to finish for their client. We welcome you to stop by any time throughout the day to cheer the students on as they code, or come for the Awards Ceremony at the end of the night, where one team will be crowned the winner. The purpose behind the event is to offer young people of color in under-served communities the opportunity to learn how to code while giving back to their communities in the process.

More Details: If you plan to attend, head to Cypress Hall Rooms D302-303 (for coding from 8am - 6pm) or Aspen Hall (for Dinner/Awards from 6pm -8pm). This event is FREE for all ages. Stop by any time!
